Kingston Carers' Forum

There was a good turnout for the inaugural meeting held on 29th June. The purpose of the Forum is to:

• Provide a place for carers to raise concerns and ideas relating to caring in Kingston and decide how those concerns and ideas will be raised and with whom
• Be used as a resource for statutory services to consult carers when reviewing local provision and service development
• Campaign for carers rights, recognition and improving local services
• Share information about local and national policies affecting carers
• Describe examples of good practice that could be used to improve services and support for other carers in the borough
