"Dear Sir/Madam,
We have been commissioned to conduct some research among those who are carers for people with Alzheimer’s disease (by “carer” we do not mean someone paid to undertake the care but rather any person who is looking after someone with one of these conditions), so I am writing in the hope that you can help us find participants.
As a company, we believe that the inclusion of patients and caregivers in this type of opinions research is very important as they are able to give a unique insight and important feedback which should be heard alongside that of the healthcare professionals. Our aim in all our research is to help bring better products and services to the market, to improve the lives of patients, and their caregivers, as well as to give healthcare professionals more and better tools to employ.
This research will take the form of a telephone interview which will last approximately 60 minutes in total, and which can be arranged at any time convenient to participants.
As a small thank you for the time involved in participating in this research, we are offering £75, which can be given either as a donation to a charity, or a personal payment as preferred by the individual.
We would be very grateful if you would pass our contact details on to anyone/any of your members/patients who you feel might be interested in participating.
For each person who successfully completes the interview with us and mentions they heard about the study through you, we are offering £20 which can be given as a donation to your organisation, a charity of your choice, or as a gift to you personally. Please find attached a flyer to help you pass on the details about this study.
We are members of a number of professional bodies including ESOMAR, EphMra, and BHBIA and as such are bound by their regulations. I can assure you that this is purely a piece of opinions research, and that at no time will we participate in any promotional or sales activities. We also abide by all data protection laws and will never pass on any personal details to any third party. All responses are analyzed and reported in aggregate, meaning that it is not possible for any particular answer to be traced to a specific respondent.
