Activities

We run regular activities for young carers as part of the Young Carers’ Project including workshops, sports, drop-ins and trips.

We have had a fantastic summer this year, and the weather has held up as well! The younger ones enjoyed a tea party and farm trip whilst the older ones went to Guildford Spectrum and on residential trips. As well as this we have had another drama workshop which, as always, was very popular and thoroughly enjoyed. Other activities have included Thorpe Park, Wicked theatre trip, boat trips, Dragon Boating, a farm trip and much more.

We would like to say a big thank-you to all the staff and volunteers that have helped make these summer activities and all other activities possible and enjoyable for both the kids and adults.

You can read more about these activities in the Young Carers' Project Newsletters.

"Anna (aged 9), really loved your half term activities - she gave them 5 out 5 and she never does that!" - Anna's mum

"I like Young Carers Project, because it kept me calm when I was angry, and I made friends and it's difficult for me to make friends, and the activities are fun and everyone is nice and understands what's going on!" - Holly (aged 10)
