Carers Information and Support Programme
Wednesday 04 November 2026
11:00 to 13:00
A three-week course for carers in Kingston.
We know from experience that caring for a loved one with dementia can have its challenges. Carers often experience a range of emotions and when they are busy providing care for their loved one, they may not be able to talk openly about these.
Alzheimer's Society Kingston want you to be able to ask questions or discuss sensitive issues that you otherwise may not be fully able to do. They have put together this course that creates a safe space, running each week for three consecutive weeks.
Practical advice and information
These three workshops provide an opportunity to improve knowledge, skills and understanding for those caring for a person with dementia in a friendly and confidential environment.
Topics include:
• Understanding how dementia progresses
• Living with change as dementia
• Living well as dementia progresses: occupation and activities
Each course has a maximum of eight attendees. The sessions are run by skilled, compassionate and experienced staff.
They will take place online on 4, 11 and 18 November 2026, 11am-1pm. Booking is essential.
