Good Food Co-op

The Good Food Co-Op was set up in late 2020. They work with local, independent farmers to bring you the freshest, chemical-free, seasonal fruit & veg and change the contents weekly to provide you with the best produce with a range of seasonal fruit & veg. The boxes are available in three sizes, for collection from local HUBS or delivery in selected areas.

They passionately believe that healthy food should be accessible to all and operate a not-for-profit model which enables those paying full price to provide heavily subsidised rates for our referral customers.

The referral criterea for subsidsed boxes is as follows

"Residency The recipient(s) should be resident in the Borough of Kingston or Richmond. Baseline The person or family referred are receiving support or are willing to engage with support to improve their situation regarding their finances or health and wellbeing.

Financial/Income People may be on benefits, have a low income and/or be in debt but be able and willing to contribute to the cost of their box and open to accessing support to manage / optimize their income.

Health and Wellbeing The person or family referred are motivated to access support to improve their physical and mental wellbeing. They may also be at risk of or have been diagnosed with chronic health conditions eg heart health, diabetes or obesity.

Practical Considerations The person or family referred should have the following: • Access to suitable cooking and food storage facilities • A bank account to set up a subscription to The Good Food Co-op (which can be paused or cancelled at any time), unless you are funding their produce, in which case this is not required. • Internet access to visit the Good Food Co-op website and manage their account."

If you think you may be eligible and would like to be referred, please contact admin@kingstoncarers.org.uk and ask to discuss a referral with a support worker.
