Men at Work and Play

Chicken pies and bowling for our male carers.

A delicious looking homemade chicken pie with a slice taken out and put on a side plate.

Men at Work

A select group of male carers enjoyed the first of four cooking lessons, expertly led by Liz Grimwood. The first session was great fun but hard work and involved making chicken pies. The pies turned out very well (better than expected for some!) and tasted delicious.

There is one place still available for the last of the 4 sessions if any male carer would like to take part. This will take place on Saturday 23rd September at the Searchlight Centre, from 9.30-11.30. There is no charge. Please contact Ian if you are interested (details below).

Men at Play

It’s not all hard work!

We have a range of other activities, including regular tenpin bowling sessions, for male carers. The next of these is on Thursday 14th September at 6pm at Hollywood Bowl in Tolworth. Again, there is no charge.

We also have regular online Zoom meetings for male carers. The next is on Friday 15th September at 2pm, when Sir Ed Davey, local MP and leader of the Liberal Democrats, will speak to us and answer questions.

Looking ahead, on Saturday 7th October we have an exclusive free visit for male carers to Hampton Court Palace including a private guided tour with an historian guide.

To sign up for any of these activities or for further information about these or other activities for male carers please email Ian on malecarers@kingstoncarers.org.uk  or telephone 07305 099303.
