Young Carers Join #ProtestFromHome

Calling for proper support, recognition, and the right to a break for unpaid carers.

๐Ÿงก Our amazing Young Carers have joined the #ProtestFromHome campaign — and we stand proudly beside them.

At some point in our lives, almost all of us will care for someone we love, or need care ourselves. When that time comes, we should live in a country that makes it easier, not harder, to care.

Right now, an estimated 6 million unpaid carers in the UK — family, friends, neighbours — are supporting loved ones without pay, often around the clock, and with little to no support.

They don’t get time off. They rarely get a break. And too many are being pushed to the brink, physically, mentally, and financially.

Nearly half of unpaid carers get less than an hour to themselves each day — and they have no legal right to a break.

This needs to change. Let’s stand together and call for proper recognition and support.
