Peter is a qualified chartered accountant with experience in a wide range of finance roles. After working for the audit firm Coopers and Lybrand in the UK and Holland, he joined Burmah Castrol, moving through various roles before becoming the Group Reporting Manager for the plc. 

Subsequently he worked as Financial Controller for Castrol Europe and then Finance Director for the European Industrial lubricants businesses. Following the acquisition of Castrol by BP, he acted as Integration Manager for the Castrol businesses in Europe, working on legal structure, employee t&c harmonisation, location consolidation etc. He then worked as the Finance Controller for the BP Global HR function, before moving to a role managing both in house and outsourced teams in the UK, Malaysia and the Philippines operating core financial processes in accounting, reporting, and supplier payments.

After leaving BP he joined the John Lewis partnership, working on financial processes for accounting and reporting as a financial process specialist.
