Simon started life as a Chartered Accountant at Arthur Andersen, becoming a partner in the Business Consulting group where he founded and ran the Advanced Technology team.  During this time he spent a couple of years working at Swiss Bank Corp running their corporate IT group.

Fourteen years later, Simon transitioned into the corporate world, spending two decades as a Chief Information Officer (CIO) for several companies such as Sky, Carphone Warehouse, DixonsCarphone, and TalkTalk.  Whilst at Carphone Warehouse, during the merger with BestBuy, Simon ran several other operational areas such as supply chain, retail operations, fraud detection etc.

In about 2015, Simon embarked on a new venture within DixonsCarphone to found a software business called honeybee which grew successfully over the next few years.  The clients of this product included Apple and Sprint as well as DixonsCarphone itself.  In 2018, honeybee was successfully sold in a trade sale to a U.S. software business.

Simon is now semi-retired doing some consulting for smaller businesses, running a yoga retreat business in France with his wife and is an active trustee for a couple of charities.  When not engaged in these activities Simon spends his time restoring classic cars.
